Anime Clubs

RECCA Society: anime club at our sister school of Los Medanos College.  They have evening showings every other Saturday.

Beefbowl Anime: heh, heh...the notorious anime club that can't die!  They have their showings every other Saturday in Albany and they serve the Albany / Berkeley / El Cerrito areas.

Cal Animage Alpha: the very first japanese animation club in California history!  This is the anime club of UC Berkeley and they have their showings every Monday evening.

Anime FX: the anime club at San Francisco State University. 

Eastern Entertainment Association: independent anime club in San Francisco that also shows Japanese live action film, Chinese action films, and other interesting stuff.  The have showings approximately twice a month.

Fansub Distributors

Sachi's Distribution: famous for their subtitling of the Hana Yori Dango TV series.  They're located in Stockton, and they have the fastest turnaround time that we have ever seen.

Saber Anime: has the best fansub sound and picture quality that we've ever seen.  Turnaround ranges from 1-2 weeks, but they are often backlogged with orders.

Kodocha Anime: famous for their subtitling of the Child's Toy TV series.  They have a relatively large selection to choose from, which includes hard-to-find titles.

Hazumi Anime: has a few rare fansubs that can be requested.

Seikihou Gumi: has good quality tapes, and a few hard-to-find find titles.  Occasionally, they throw in a free music CD with your order.

Soyokaze Fansubs: has a large selection to choose.  They usually are among the first distributors to offer brand new anime titles first.

Games

GameFAQs.com: stuck on level XX?  Can't find that certain item you need to get that fabulous weapons that'll kick anyone's butt?  Do you just don't know what to do next in the game?  Check out this site to get the info you need and to prevent premature balding by ripping out your own hair.

Buyrite.net: good site for import / domestic games for just about all home platforms.  Also has a large number of accessories for each system.  They are usually the first to offer the new import games from Japan.

Howie's Hi-Tech Games: cool video game store located in Santa Clara, CA.  The rent out anime titles, but more importantly, they rent out popular Japanese PSX and Dreamcast games!  Check `em out!

Misc

Serizawa Kamo Rurouni Kenshin Translation Index: has complete English translations of the Rurouni Kenshin manga vol. 1-28.  Also has detailed info on the real Shinsen Gumi...check it out!

Chibi's House or World of the Insane and That's Ok!: It's legalized insanity...and it's all ok!  This website has got some pretty hilarious stuff on it...be sure to check out the "About Me" section and the Talk Shows!  Also has fan-fics, fan-art, and more!
