We've
got two rooms reserved at the Long Beach Hyatt Hotel for three
nights at $135.00
per night. The price per person will be based on the
number of people who will be staying. To get to the
convention, we will be flying from the Oakland
Airport to the Los Angeles Airport (LAX) and then
taking a shuttle to the Hyatt Hotel in Long Beach (the ride is
approximately 30 minutes). When we leave the convention
to come back home, we'll be doing the same thing, but in
reverse (taking a shuttle to LAX and flying back to the
Oakland Airport). We
will be making flight reservations with SouthWest Airlines. If
you are getting to the convention by some other way, but still
want to stay in our hotel rooms, LET US KNOW! Shuttle
service from LAX to the hotel will cost about $15.00 per
person for a one way trip. When you want a ride back,
you will have to call to make reservations. SuperShuttle
will be the carrier.
Here's
how the money thing is going to work Payments
for hotel cost can be in check, money
order, or cash. If writing a check or money order,
please make it out to Deborah
Brown.
There are two ways to get your money to her... 1)
give the money to me, and I will get it to
her. I'll be on campus this Tuesday (Jun. 26) for our
room test in H-117 from 12-7pm, and on Thursday for our
official showing if all goes well on Tuesday (time TBA). 2)
you can give it directly to her. She
is on campus from 9:30-10:00am Monday-Thursday at the
Student Union building, and she'll be at the room test
from 12-1pm. You can also drop by her work (at Suncoast
Video in the SunValley Mall) on Tuesdays and Thursdays
between 1:30pm and 10:00pm.

The
hotel rooms in the Hyatt each have 2 double beds in
them. The Long Beach Hyatt hotel is were the convention
will be held (partially...the rest will be in the convention
center that is connected to the hotel). If
