Looks: It would be best to open this up with an old adage. "Beauty is only skin deep," right? Sad to say, poor Hannya got his face burned at one time or the other, so there's really no helping it, what with plastic surgery and skin graft technology not being invented yet. To compensate, you can still appreciate the aesthetic beauty of Hannya through his special oni masks. Worn 24 hours a day, never taken off except by force, Hannya makes up for his scarred appearance by wearing genuine hannya masks which give him a beautiful, if fearsome, appearance. There are rumors that Hannya keeps a golden mask for special occasions, and it is even whispered that he has a special diamond-studded mask which he is reserving for his wedding day.

Brains: Hannya is no fool. Having realized that his looks often wouldn't cut it, Hannya began to extensively improve his intellect under the tutelage of his boss, Shinomori Aoshi. The result is that Aoshi trusts him explicitly to be able to handle any sort of task. Hannya is smart enough that he developed an optical illusion to enhance his fighting technique.

Personality: Fanatic. What you can expect from Hannya is pure devotion and loyalty. That's really all you can ask for from a spouse, ne?

Cooking - Home Economics: Hard to say. Hannya has focused so much on his training that he has completely forgotten all about the other aspects of life. Hannya wouldn't tell us a bit about this, either. But when you consider that he probably spent a lot of time alone living off the land, by himself and with the other Oniwa Banshuu sojourners, it is safe to assume that he has at least rudimentary cooking skills, and that he has survival ability in the wild (enough to start a cooking fire).

Hannya also has superb father skills. He practically raised Makimachi Misao as a baby, and she turned out-- well, she turned out just fine, ne? No one could make chibi-Misao smile quite like Hannya did. A definite plus in the marriage department!

Fighting skills: Superb. He learned his kenpo from the master, Shinomori Aoshi. Added to this, he makes use of a special stripe pattern on his arms, combined with the proper timing to thrust and stop his punches, that it appears his arm elongates whenever he attacks. This so good that it actually managed to fool the Battousai himself.

Special abilities: He seems to have a high survivability rate. I imagine he was burned, entire body and all, yet he still survived. Only Shishio himself is the only person to have managed this little trick.

Competition: None. He's a free stud, so what're you waiting for!

In-Laws: Next to nothing is known about Hannya's past, and it is assumed the rest of his family is either dead or long forgotten. That's a good thing, so that you don't have any nagging in-laws to worry about. What're you waiting for!

Finances: Hannya works for the Oniwa Banshuu. I can't say the pay is good, so be sure to have your own supplementary income.

Sex: All I can say is that this man will be devoted to pleasing your every whim. He's like a little puppydog, wanting to please his master. There is absolutely no reason to believe that he won't be able to perform and satisfy you. The only catch is: how do you like burned flesh? Hmm, Yumi does just fine with Shishio, so how can you complain with Hannya?

Overall: Hannya has been living a life of hardship and destitution all these years, that he's become a real stick in the mud. To help him out of this quagmire, all you need to do is show a sincere love and concern for him. Shower him with affection, and he'll be taking to you in no time. Of course, there is the problem of him being dead, so you might want to take a trip to Jigoku to do that. Just make sure you don't pick any of the *real* hannya oni down there, or you might be in a world of trouble. Remember, there's only one Hannya, and he's got the funny stripes on his arms. Don't make the mistake!
