Alias: Mibu no Ookami (Wolf of Mibu)

Looks: Severe. He's reasonably tall, with slicked-back black hair (except one or two bangs), and finely-boned. Usually dressed in policeman outfit or the Shinsengumi typic robes (add a long ponytail in that case). Permanently serious or smirking, usually has a cigarette handy (take this in consideration if you have weak lungs like me).

Brains: Impressive. He's a superb spy (former Shinsengumi captain), current agent of the Meiji government, so the Wolf must constantly sharpen his fangs to survive in this muddy area. Extremely cunning, knows how to talk to people and comes with good plans on pinches. Far one of the most intelligent guys in RK along with Shishi-o or Enishi.

Personality: Mostly ruthless, Saitou-san has his own code of justice and acting, addaptating it to the circumstances. Unless Kenshin, he's ready to kill the ones who refuse to see the way, by his code of Aku.Zoku.Zan (Kill Evil Instantly). May show a slightly softer side to persons like Okita-kun, Tokio or his daughters.

Cooking - Home Economics: It's suggested that he's pretty much a liker of order and cleaning, as a good policeman is. Noted?

Fighting skills: Master of the ultra-fast and ultra-strong Gatotsu technique, whose full potential wasn't shown in the anime (duh!!). In the manga, when fighting Usui, Saitou didn't impale him like in the TV aseries: he RIPPED the guy's body in TWO, and impale the UPPER part. I couldn't believe it when I saw the scan. Even Kenshin had to see Gods to defeat Saitou.

Special ablilites: No magical or superhuman ones (Thank god, some say). I'll count his coolness everywhere, and how the hell did he survive when Houji destructed the arena where Shishio and Kenshin fought?

Competiton: Sorry gals. Saitou is MARRIED, for crying it loud! In Kenshin's words: "She's gotta be a goddess if she's married to HIM". Though she never appears in RK itself, in the fics Takagi Tokio is portrayed as a woman of a will as strong as her husband's, silk glove over the iron hand. So I don't think he'll be willing to leave Tokio-san for a girl he barely knows.

In-Laws: None is known about Saitou's real family aside of Tokio. Maybe Okita-kun, his loyal assistant, could count as a sort of younger brother, but it's only a possibility.

Sex: Like Catherine Bloom said in the MP for Dorothy Catalonia, "He's the one who's gonna be in charge". Saitou would try to give a new meaning to the use of "handcuffs", in example, so he'll be mostly in control of the sexual encounters from the start to the end. Maybe he'll test your stamina and imagination to their extremes, too.

Overall: Avoid this man if you're not likely to put up with Saitou's dominant personality, or may doubt at a difficult situation. The Wolf of Miburo isn't much willing to be tamed by a porcelain doll. If you think that you have the requirements (or think you're a Goddess ^^), no one should stop you, ladies. But even if you do have them, be warned that Saitou may be 70% of time far away from you, in his mission to make the bad guys see how sharp his teeth are, by his favourite phrase: Aku.Zoku.Zan.
