Alias: Yahiko-chan (but don't tell him that).

Looks: Cute-looking 10-year-old boy with coppery skin, reddish eyes and spikey black hair. Quite short but give him time; he may grow up in a very attractive youth as demonstrated in the end of the manga.

Smarts: Weeeell... *scratches head* Street-smart as we see that he was a little street muggler until Kaoru and Kenshin rescued him. Other than that, he's not dim, just inexperienced.

Personality: A disaster waiting to happen. Though with a heart of pure gold, he's cocky, stubborn, rebel, unrespectful, etc. And he's beaten the crap outta him quite frequently for that, specially by Kaoru.

Cooking: May learn if someone says it's a part of the kenjutsu training. Expect a huge food bill. In the home economics, has (forcefully) learned to keep a Dojo clean. Kaoru and Watsuki-sensei say so.

Fighting skills: With great potential. He uses his bokken by the rules of Kamiya Kasshin ryuu, but recently has learned to addapt some Hiten Mitsurugi moves to them, at least the Ryusuisen. Surprise factor is on him, but even then, it's quite easy to many people (like Kaoru, Sano, Misao), to punt him into orbit. Has also the hilarious technique of head-chewing against Sanosuke.

Special abilities: To piss anyone with female chromosomes around, except Tsubame. Quicklearner, as stated above.

Competition: Sanjou Tsubame, w/o any doubt. She's one of the full-time waitresses at Akabeko and Yahiko's current hit-on since he saved her from her evil former "master" and Tae addopted her. Tsubame-chan herself is so lovely that it won't be easy to pass through her. Even if you do, expect Yahiko to be the very first one to jump on her aid if she needs it.

In-Laws: Dead, and he was 'addopted' by a gang and later by Kenshin and Kaoru, playing a sort of "little brother" role. Remember he's the one who gave the Kenshin-gumi its name. They won't be a challenge unless you're no good to him.

Finances: May help Kaoru and Kenshin to take over the dojo, so potential is there. No really good now as he's still a little boy, but has time to start a good education that leads him to a productive career for himself, too.

Sex: ARE YOU NUTS? He's not even legal still! When he grows up, he may be fiery and eager to please as well.

Overall: The wait may be too long for some. Yahiko-chan still has way to grow, but your life with him once he does and you're patient enough (IF you are), won't be dull at all. A high reward if you're disposed.
